This beautiful rosette pattern resembles ocean waves as they roll in toward the shore. This rosette, made of walnut, may be used for hammered dulcimers, psalteries, and other instruments to add beauty and texture to your instrument. These rosettes are 1/8" thick and are available in both 2 3/16" diameter and 1 1/2" diameter. Folkcraft makes a LOT of rosettes. Our acetal copolymer white Delrin rod can be used on the bridges of your hammered dulcimer. Different uses can help you control the sustain of your instrument. Rods are sold in 23 1/2" long pieces. On a typical hammered dulcimer, Delrin rod used in two places: the nuts, on the outside of your hammered dulcimer, next to the tuning pins; and the bridges, closer to the center of your instrument. The nut pieces are usually a single piece, between 13 and 23 inches long. Our 1/8" diameter Delrin rod for hammered dulcimers is easy to cut to length - a sturdy pair of scissors (sharp desk shears, or kitchen shears) works well, or you can use a pair of wire cutters.
