Our acetal copolymer white Delrin rod can be used on the bridges of your hammered dulcimer. Different uses can help you control the sustain of your instrument. Rods are sold in 23 1/2" long pieces. On a typical hammered dulcimer, Delrin rod used in two places: the nuts, on the outside of your hammered dulcimer, next to the tuning pins; and the bridges, closer to the center of your instrument. The nut pieces are usually a single piece, between 13 and 23 inches long. Our 1/8" diameter Delrin rod for hammered dulcimers is easy to cut to length - a sturdy pair of scissors (sharp desk shears, or kitchen shears) works well, or you can use a pair of wire cutters.

This beautiful rosette pattern resembles a curvy, winding road. This rosette, made of walnut, may be used for hammered dulcimers, psalteries, and other instruments to add beauty and texture to your instrument. Strings in this set: Melody strings (2):.014 Middle string:.022BW Bass string:.034BW The "BW" stands for Bronze-Wound. Bronze wound string have been the "standard" for decades. They have a steel core, with a bronze alloy winding. Bronze wound strings are warm, compared to the brass (roller wound) and stainless-steel wound strings. They do tend to have more finger squeak, though, and they don't last as long as the stainless steel strings. The tone and clarity you get with these strings is amazing and is sure to provide great feel as well. The string sizes in this set are.014,.014,.022BW and.034BW.
